Who we are and how we work
Divine Rudraksha & Gems Testing Lab (DRGTL) is an independent testing laboratory in Gurgaon, Haryana, focused on the articles that matter in the spiritual and gemstone trade: Rudraksha beads, precious and semi-precious gemstones, bead bracelets, japa malas and crystals.
The market for Rudraksha and healing stones is full of joined beads, carved fakes, dyed and reconstituted material, and glass sold as crystal. A buyer usually has no way to tell. Our job is to examine each article with laboratory methods and put the findings on record — permanently linked to a Report No., a PIN and a QR code, so anyone holding the product can check what was actually tested.
Articles are logged, weighed, measured and photographed at intake. Rudraksha beads are examined under magnification for artificial or re-carved mukhi lines and then X-rayed: a genuine bead's internal seed compartments correspond to its surface mukhi. Gemstones and crystals are identified with standard gemmological instruments — refractive index, specific gravity and microscopic examination — with treatments and enhancements stated on the report.
