What a DRGTL report is — and what it is not

A DRGTL report expresses the professional opinion of the laboratory on the identity and authenticity of the article examined — its species, natural features, treatments and physical measurements — at the time of examination, based only on the tests stated on the face of the report.

A report is not:

  • a valuation, appraisal or price opinion of any kind;
  • a guarantee of astrological, spiritual or therapeutic effect;
  • a warranty against future damage, wear or alteration of the article;
  • proof that any article other than the one examined is genuine.

Matching card and article

Always compare the photograph, weight, measurements and distinctive features on the report with the article in your possession. If they do not correspond, treat the combination as suspect and contact the laboratory.

Any alteration of the report card — including reprinting, scanning-and-editing, or transferring it to another article — renders the report void.
